Chances are very likely that you or someone you know has been affected by cancer. Our church prayer list weekly contains names of many members, their family, friends, neighbors and co-workers struggling with cancer. There is an opportunity in our community to join a research project to better understand how lifestyle, genetics, and the environment affect cancer, and how we can better prevent the disease. Presence Health (Provena) in partnership with the American Cancer Society will be conducting an ongoing research project beginning in July. If you would like to participate you are encouraged to call or go online to enroll, then schedule an appointment time for Wednesday, July 10, 2013 between 3:00pm – 6:30pm at Presence United Samaritans.
The American Cancer Society is looking for people to help create a cancer-free world—a world with more birthdays. If you’ve ever wondered how you can change the world, here is your chance.
Those eligible to participate are anyone between 30 and 65 years of age and have never been diagnosed with cancer. See the bulletin board across from the collection slot for more information.
